O ne güzel bir perşembe günüydü

Dün 19 Mayıs Atatürk'ü  Anma, Gençlik ve Spor Bayramı'nın özüne yaraşır, bir aktif bir gün geçirmek üzere 09:00'da buluştuk. Rotamız Karaköy'e yürüyüp Maya'da kahvaltı etmekti. Hayatımızdan kesitler üzerine ahkam kesilen yol çabuk bitti ancak Maya henüz açılmamıştı, o anda aklımıza eski dost Namlı geldi. Namlı'da midelere  şenlik kahvaltı sonrası aynı bölgede bulunan Bej'de bir kahve içip, ne zamandır gidilecekler listesinde olan Kağıthane'de vakit geçirdik.

Günün sonrası İstiklal Caddesi'nde gezilen  pasajlar, bir kaç parça alışveriş ( Bu aralar gitmeye değecek pek fazla bir şey göremedim), Asmalı Helvetia'da hafif bir öğle yemeği ve evde izlenilen Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever ( Ama biz filmi sevmedik :( ) ile günü noktaladık.

Bugün pazartesi gibi hissedilen bir cuma olduğuna göre, Pazar günü yapılacak olan Chill-Out Festival Istanbul'u haftasonunun en önemli etkinliği olarak şiddetle tavsiye edebilirim, tek ihtiyacımız olan biraz güneş :)

It was a national holiday yesterday and we made a plan to walk to Karakoy area and had breakfast there. Namlı was the place to be and couldn't resist a coffee at Bej Cafe afterwards. We'd like to come to houseof paper store in Bej for quiet some time so spent some time there. Later we walked to Istiklal street, did some shopping and had a quick bite at Helvetia. We watched a local movie called "Ask tesadufleri sever" but it was not really worth to see.


Since it's Friday, I strongly recommend Chill-out Festival Istanbul as an great altenative for Sunday, all we need is a little bit of sunshine :)

Gucci PreFall'11

Mayıs ortasını geçmemize rağmen güneş hala bize yüzünü doğru dürüst göstermemişken, bünyede D vitamini sıkıntısı baş göstermişken, Gucci PreFall 2011 görünümlerini sitesine koymuş bile. 70'lerin felsefesinden etkilenen modern tasarımlar, gri,siyah, petrol mavisi,  bordo gibi renklerle karşımıza çıkarken, geniş kenarlı şapkalar, diz üstü sımsıkı çizmeler, kemerler yine başrolde.

We've  already  left the half of May behind but still no chance with having sunny days. While we are strugging with the lack of vitamin D in our bodies, Gucci has already posted its PreFall'11 looks on the website. Modern pieces with the 70s vibe come in the colours like gray, black, blue, teal,maroon and styled with the accessories like wide brimmed hats,  tight over the knee boots and belts.

Heey!  Ben biraz hastayım, işler de üstüme geliyor biraz da uyuzum,dolayısı ile ben toparlanana kadar sizi Anja Rubik'in Vogue Nippon Haziran 2011 sayısı için kamera karşısına geçtiği editoryalle baş başa bırakıyorum. 8. fotodaki  siyah Balenciaga botlar son zamanların belli ki sevilen simaları, fotograflar da Japon androjenisinin güzel bir yansıması olmuş.

Heey! I'm a little bit sick and  a bit cranky about my work overload lately so'till I get back, I thought it's a better idea to leave you with this great editorial starring Anja Rubik for Vogue Nippon's June 2011 issue.   The Balenciaga boots on the 8th  photo seem to be the  "it boots" lately and photos are the nicest images of  Japanese androgyny.

Merhabalar! Haftasonu maratonumuz cuma akşamı Den Cafe'de yenilen akşam yemeğiyle başladı, yemekten sonra durağımız Modazon'un Funshion partisi idi. 23:00'de başlayacak parti için oraya biraz erken gitmiştik ki,   ortama hala yemek atmosferinin hakim olduğunu görüp, Roxy'de son günlerde sıkça ismini duyduğum Can Bonomo'yu dinlemeye gittik. Benim genel müzik zevkimden farklı bir portresi olan Can Bonomo'yu eğlenceli buldum, belli ki kalabalıkta öyle buluyordu.Orijinal planımız konserden sonra bahsettiğim Leb-i derya Richmond'daki partiye gitmek idi ancak planımız İstanbul trafiği ve yüksek topuklarımızın gazabına uğradı. Cumartesiyi gündüz aile saadeti yaşadık, erken anneler günü kutlaması yaptık. Akşam Lounge FM organizasyonu olan Stars of the Nu funk için İndigo'daydık, Ed Royal ve Basement Freaks'in müziğiyle düşündüğümüzden daha fazla eğlenince başka bir yere gitme ihtiyacı hissetmedik. Pazar günü evden hiç çıkmayarak, tek kayda değer aktivite olarak Harry Sally ile tanışınca filmini izledim. İşte benim haftasonum böyle geçti, sizleri duyalım?

Kıyafetimden de biraz bahsedip bu yazıyı toparlayalım derim. Mayıs ayına gelmemize rağmen hala  kış şartlarının hüküm sürdüğü şehrimizde, siyah çoraplardan kurtulmak henüz mümkün değil. Renklerden hayır olmayınca, desen karıştırmaya yöneldim, dudaklarım da her zamankinden renkli; son günlerdeki tercihim Avon moisture seduction- Red Kiss.

Hello everyone!  My weekend marathone started  friday evening dinner with my friends at Den Cafe. We hit the Modazon's Funshion party but it was so quiet because we were a little bit early so been to Roxy for Can Bonomo concert. It was a different experience for my music point of view but it was fun and the crowd was also in that mood. Unfortunately we couldn't go back to Funshion part as we planned because of the heavy traffic and high heels. On saturday had an early celebration for mothers' day with the family and in the evening we had one stop; Indigo for Lounge FM's event called "Stars for the Nu Funk ft. Ed Royal and Basement Freaks". The music was good so stayed there nearly till the end.It was a lazy sunday for me, watching when Harry met Sally could be considered as my only noteworthy activity.

That was how I spent my weekend, let's hear about yours?

Let's not finish this post without saying nothing  about my outfit. It's still like winter here in Istanbul so black tights are still in. I didn't pick colours for the outfit so went for mixing prints and put a vivid colour on my lips which was different choice from my regular routine.The colour was Red Kiss from Avoun Moisture seduction.
