Neredeyse Pazar günü olacak, ben ancak geçen pazar ki kıyafetimin fotoğraflarını post ediyorum. Pazar günü geniş ve güzel manzaralı terası sebebiyle, Beyoğlu Midpoint'te kahvaltı, küçük bir yürüyüşü takiben evde sonlandı. Oxfordlarımın mevsimini de açtım, özlemişim onları :)

It is almost Sunday but I'm able to post last Sunday's outfit post today. We had breakfast at Midpoint in Beyoğlu which have a big terrace with a great view, then we took  a little walk and returned home early. I officially opened the season for oxfords, I really missed them :) .

Smokey eyes and Elle Magazine photo shoot

Bom dia! Ahaha bu ne be diyorsunuz biliyorum ama bunu son iş gezimde Portekizli birinden öğrenmiştim, Portekizce "günaydın" demek sevgili okuyucular ( Evet, maalesef  ben de ona türkçesini öğretmek zorunda kaldım ) :).  Bugun güzel bir gün, hava serince ama güneş parıldıyor, benim için iyi bir şey. Bugün, fotograflarını sanırım ancak haftaya görebileceğiniz grungy bir şeyler giydim ve dumanlı göz makyajı yaptım, tabi günlük gözükebilecek sınırlar içerisinde ;) .  Durum böyleyken, dumanlı gözlere de bir açlığım varken karşıma muhteşem görünen dumanlı gözleriyle Magdalena Frackowiak ve Hanne Gaby Odiele çıktı, ben gece bile olsa bu kadar fazlasını yapamıyorum ancak bu oldukça güzel göründüğü sonucunu değiştirmiyor.

Bom dia! Probably, most of you will say, what the hell is that but I learnt this on my last business trip from a Portuguese guy meaning "good morning" ( Yes I had to teach him the same in Turkish) :) . Today the sun is shining but there is a chilly weather outside but I'm more than fine with that. In the morning I decided to wear something grungy with a daily dose of smokey eye make-up. When I was in that mood I saw pictures of Magdalena Frackowiah and Hanne Gaby Odiele with their beautifully done heavy smokey eyes. I've ever done this much, even I was going out but this fact doesn't change the reality of they're looking good.

Günün diğer önemli başlığına gelirsek, dün Elle Türkiye dergisi için Ocak sayısında yayınlanmak üzere blog yazarlarını konu alan bir produksiyonda yer aldım. Fotoğraf çekimi benim için biraz zahmetli geçti diyebilirim, bir bölümü yerde yapılan çekimler sonrasında, bugun sol tarafımda hafif bir bel ağrısı ile dolaşıyorum ancak sonuç sanırım iyi oldu :). Muhtemelen sorulacak sorular arasında, yüzünü sonunda görebilecek miyiz olacağından, sizleri bu zahmetten kurtarmak adına diyebilirim ki, dergide burada gördüğünüzden fazlası olmayacak :) . Sevgili mordolap ( Kendisini de bu produksiyonda göreceksiniz ) sd kartını unuttuğu için sahne arkası yazı dizisi yapamayacağım ancak fazla konuşamasakta, diğer bir blog yazarı arkadaşım Nil ile tanışmamızın günün diğer artısı olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Dergi satışa çıktıktan sonra, sizinle diğer  fotoğrafları da paylaşacağım, şimdilik benden bu kadar, güzel bir cuma günü geçirmenizi dilerim.

The other headline of today is, my photo shoot with Elle Turkey which will be on January issue, for a production of blog writers. The photo shoot was a little bit hard for me since I was crawling on the floor, today I'm having a little ache on my left side but I can say the result will be good. I know I will be having some comments including the question " Can we see your face now" but my answer will be no, you will not be seeing more than anything that you've seen on the blog :). I wish we could do the behind the scenes but it's not possible since Mordolap  ( She was one of the writers, too) forgot the memory card for the camera. However, even we couldn't have enough chance to talk, meeting with my other fellow blogger Nil was one of the highlights of last evening. I will be sharing more photos from the shoot after the mag is out, it's all for now from me, I wish you a delightful Friday.

Gray is my favorite colour

Sanıyorum gri benim en sevdiğim renk. Açığı, koyusu , her tonu oldukça hoşuma gidiyor ve kıyafetlerimde yüksek bir yüzde oluşturuyor. Bu elbise de uzun süredir dolaptaydı, hatta cadıpazarında  ( Üstümdeki 38 beden, bol durması için büyük beden almıştım, pazardaki 40 beden, 38-40 beden olanlara tam olacaktır) son bir tane daha var, cumartesi akşamı giydim, oldukça sevdiğimi söyleyebilirim. Çanta yine satmak için aldığım bir parça ancak sizlere kısmet değilmiş :)

I think it is because I had many gray pieces from darker to lighter hues. This dress has been waiting in my closet for so long so I got a chance to wear it last saturday night out.

Leopar desenli çoraplar

Puantiyeli çorap ile ilgili yazıya gelen yorumlarda, leopar desenli çorapların nasıl giyileceği konusunda kafalarda soru işaretleri olması, gelecek  yazılarımdan birisini bu konuya ayırmam gerektiğini gösterdi. Ben yorumlarda, tarzım olmasa da, eğer giyecek olsaydım, siyah, beyaz, lacivert, bej.. tonlarında düz kesimli kısa elbiseler, üstler, etek ve şortlarla tamamlanabileceğini düşünüyorum. Çorabın iddiasını daha da arttırmamak için bacaklarınız uygunsa düz babetler, botlar veya yine bacakları kalın göstermesini engellemek adına daha iddiasız, mary jane tarzı ayakkabılar, oxford botlar.. gibi daha maskülen seçeneklerle tamamlanabilir.  Leopar desenli çorap giydiğinizde kıyafetlerinizin çok dar kesim olmaması, 80'lerden fırlamış gibi durmanızı engelleyecektir. Örnek ararken gördüğüm üzere tarzı daha sade insanlar, daha çok benim önerdiğim gibi kombinlerken, çorabın punk halinden dolayı iyice desenleri karıştırıp, saldım çayıra mevlam kayıra durumu da yok değil, ancak iyi göründüğünü kendi adıma söyleyemeyeceğim.

When I wrote about the polka dotted tights, there were questions about how to wear leopard print tights so I decided to make a post about them. As I stated on my comment, they are not my cup of tea but if I'd wear them, I'd pair them with black, white, beige or navy colour pieces,with simple cuts which could be mini dresses, tops, skirts or shorts. Since the print is so bold, it would be nice to wear flat shoes or boots if your legs are suitable, however if you want to avoid the bigger and shorter legs effect, you can wear mary janes and oxford ankle boots which are less bold and masculin. When I looked throught the net, I saw that the people with a similar style to mine usually wore them as I have written, the others with the help of  punk attitude of the print ,wore them with more prints, which I can't say they look good for my taste.

Chain necklace

Bugünü kısa bir postla bitirmek istemedim, zaten elimde geçen haftadan koyamadığım fotoğraflar bulunuyor, o zaman ne duruyorum :) . Oversized gri kazak ararken, bu kazağı buldum, tam istediğim gibi değil, yine de sevdim. Buradaki en önemli detay yeni kolyem, yaz indiriminden almıştım, feminen detaylara eklediğim  sert kız havalarını güçlendirmesiyle hoşuma gitti, nasıl beğendiniz mi?

I don't wanna end today with a little post and I got some pictures to post from last week so what I am waiting for? :) I found this pullover while looking for a gray oversized one, not the perfect piece but will do the trick :) The most important detail here is my new chain necklace that I bought from summer sale. I like how it underlines  the tough girl image with the feminine details, what do you think?

Blue flowers

Havalar inanılmaz derecede güzel,bu bana da yansıyor tabi :) Hafta sonu, bildiğiniz üzere 2. yıl hediyelerimin sahiplerini belirledim, hediyeler Kastamonu ve Kayseri'den okuyucularıma gitti, kendileri yarın hediyelerine kavuşmuş olacaklar, güle güle kullanın kızlar!

Bunun dışında, cumartesi akşamı Urban Festival İstanbul'a gittik.İlk kez Brooklyn Funk Essentials'ı canlı dinledim, eğlenceliydi ancak gecenin geri kalanı zayıf bir katılım ve temposu düşük bir müzikle geçince, sonuna kadar kalamadık ancak bu süre boyunca gecenin sürprizi pamuk şekerlerden yaklaşık 3 tanesini bayıla bayıla yedim :). O geceden sonra, suna bir kez daha inandım ki, ben (biz) gece çıktığımızda daha yüksek tempolu müziklerle eğlenmeyi seviyoruz.

Lately, the weather is increadibly beautiful so am I :)  I haven't done much on weekend, just been to Urban Festival Istanbul. I had a chance to listen Brooklyn Funk Essentials for the first time, it was fun but the rest of the night wasn't. There were very few crowd and the music was so down tempo we couldn't stay more but in that period of staying I eat  almost 3 cotton candies :) . I (we) "again" decided that down tempo music at a night out isn't our thing.

Sizlere cuma günü söyledim ancak tembellikten dolayı Coco Avant Chanel filmine gidemedim, henüz gösterime yeni girmesinin avantajını  ileriki günlerde kullanacağım :).

I know, I told you that I will go to the movie "Coco Avant Chanel" but I decided to stay home, it was the opening weekend here so I used this advantage  :).

Kıyafet geçen haftadan, rahat günlük bir seçim. Tuniği beraber çalıştığım ve çok sevdiğim, 77 yaşında bir beyefendi hediye etti, bazen seçimleri ile beni şaşırtıyor :)

My outfit is from last week, a comfy choice for a daily use.This top was a gift from a gentleman that I work with who is 77 years old, he sometimes surprises me with his gift choices :)

Sevgili botlarım! Sizleri uzun süredir bekliyordum, hoşgeldiniz. Uygun fiyatlı ve hoş görünen bir motorcu botu bulmak ne kadar zor tahmin edemezsiniz. Zebra deseni ve "This is it"

Hola! Kısa süreli bir yokluğun ardından, hem biraz bu zamanda ne yaptığımı anlatayım hem de giydiğim bir kıyafeti paylaşayım istedim. Cumhuriyet Bayramı, izin, hafta sonu derken 4 günlük bir izin yaptım ancak havanın son derece kötü olması sebebiyle dışarda fazla vakit geçiremedim. Geçirdiğim zamanların ilkinde Ghetto'da Red Bull Music Academy Club Night kapsamında Gui Boratto ve Super Mayer'i dinleme şansına sahip oldum ki, Boratto'yu beklediğimize gerçekten değmiş, uzun süredir dinlediğim en güzel setlerden biriydi, kendisinin mimar olduğunu ve daha önce İstanbul'a gelip 3-4 gün kaldığını bu sırada mimari yapıları incelediğini öğrenip şaşırdım. Kıyafet fotoğrafları da o geceye ait, zebra deseni benim için farklı bir tercih, zaten iddialı olduğu için daha sade parçalarla birleştirdim.

Hola! I was away for a while and had 4 days free last week but the weather was awful, I couldn't go out much. I went to see  Gui Boratto and Super Mayer for Red Bull Music Academy Club Night, Boratto was fantastic, one of the great sets lately and I was surprised to learn that  he is an architect and stayed in Istanbul before to examine the buildings. My photos belogs to that night, zebra print something unusual for me and I tried to combine this bold print with simple accessories.

İkinci önemli olay ise Haziran ayında aramızdan ayrılan Michael Jackson'un son konser maratonuna hazırlık görüntülerinden oluşan "This is it" filmini izlememdi, son zamanlarda medyanın hep kötü haberlerle bize sunduğu bu efsanenin son zamanlarını nasıl geçirdiğini gerçekten bilmeyi çok istiyordum. Ağlayacağıma kesin gözle bakıp, 2 paket kağıt mendili çantama atıp sinemaya gittim. Gördüğüm şeyde beklediğim drama yoktu, zaten tüm sözlerini bildiğim klasikler art arda sıralanırken ağlamak imkansızdı. Orada gördüğüm, yaptığı işe hakim, her notadan haberdar, insan sevgisiyle dolu, diğer insanlara değer veren, hala muhteşem bir sese ve dans yeteneğine sahip bu  hayatımın fon müziği olan sanatçıyı yine en iyi yaptığı şeyi yaparken izledim ve mutlu oldum. Gerçekleşseydi muhteşem bir performans olacağına inandığım konserler serisi provaları, güçlü omuz detaylı Balmain ceketler, güzel kareografi, çok moda olan ve onun imzası olan payetler, bir birinden yetenekli dansçıların da yardımı ile keyifli bir şekilde bitti, yalnız eski performans veya kliplerinden, ödül törenlerinden kısa bir kesit görmekte fena olmazdı. En fazla "Billie Jean" ve "Man in the mirror" 'da kendimi tuttum ama hala dünyaya mesaj vermeye çalışan Michael Jackson'un kendi adına mesajını verdiğine ve dünyada oldukça büyük bir değişiklik yaptığına emin olarak, aramızdan erken ayrılmasına rağmen onun adına mutlu oldum.

I also went to see "This is it", I really wanted to see what he was doing on his last days since the only news and photos we got were always bad things :(. I was expecting to cry loads but it wasn't about the drama and you can't cry while all the great classics that you knew every word were passing by. What I saw is there a legend doing the best thing he does, performing, singing and dancing. A person who is capable of every key, a person who cares about people still with a great voice and dance talent. The concert series would be a great success if they've happened but the documentary ended by seeing very now Balmain jackets with strong shoulders, his signature sequins, fantastic coreography, really hot dancers.. etc. I would be more happy if we have seen a short part about his videos, performances and award shows and stuff. I hold on to myself when he was rehearsing "Billie Jean "and "Man in the mirror" but I felt happy for MJ, who was still trying to give a message to the world and succeed to convey his message and made a big change in this planet.
