Şimdi tatilin daha da eğlenceli olan bölümüne giriş yapıyoruz. Canlarım Duygu ve Iconjane İskoçya'ya geliyorlar. Onları Edinburgh havaalanında karşılıyorum, sarılıyoruz birbirimize, güzel haber için kutluyorlar beni. :) Şaşırıyorlar beni şortla görünce, hava gerçekten o kadar sıcak mı? Evet gerçekten o kadar sıcak diyorum ve macera başlıyor :).

Now the fun part of holiday starts because my girls Duygu and Iconjane arrived to Edinburgh airport. They congratulated me for the "big news" and surprised to see me in shorts. They asked if it's that hot in Scotland, I said yes it's really hot and we hit the road all together :). 

 Öğleden sonrayı Glasgow'un merkezinde dolaşıp, alışveriş yaparak geçiriyoruz. Otelimiz Malmaison merkeze yürüme mesafesinde.

We spent afternoon in the center of Glasgow, wandered around and did some shopping. Our hotel Malmaison was very close to the center.

 Ertesi sabah sevgilimle Clyde nehri boyunca koşmaya çıkıyoruz. Yolda bu anıta rastlıyorum. Ayaklarının üzerinde ölmek, daima dizlerinin üzerinde yaşamaktan iyidir diyor üzerinde. İspanya'da faşizme karşı mücadele etmek için giden gönüllüler ve hayatını kaybeden Glasgow'lular için dikilmiş. Ülkem aklıma geliyor, içim burkularak koşmaya devam ediyorum.

The next morning me and my fiancé ran through the River Clyde and seen this beautiful statue and made me thought about my country.

Günlük planımızın ilk bölümü İskoçya'nın sayılı doğal güzelliklerinden Loch Lomond tekne turu. Loch Lomond İskoçya'nın ilk Ulusal Parkı. Pek çoğu tarafından İskoç göllerinin kraliçesi olarak tanımlanıyor  ve Highlands'e giriş kapısı olarak da biliniyor. Hava  biraz bulutlu ve serin. 2 saat sürecek tekne turu, 12:30 da başlayacak. 

On the first part of that day we took a boat trip at beautiful Loch Lomond . Loch Lomond  which is Scotland's first National Park, described by many as" The Queen pf Scottish Lochs" ( Loch =Lake)  and is also known as "the Gateway to The Highlands". The weather was a bit cloudy and chilly. Boat tour took 2 hrs and started at 12:30. 

Şansımıza bir sürü üstü açık tekneden, kapalı olan bize düşüyor, oysa ki biz açık havada oturabiliriz sanmıştık. Neyse bunu dert etmiyoruz, biraz dışarda, biraz içerde vakit geçiriyoruz. Tur boyunca gördüğümüz yerlerle ilgili yayın yapılıyor, aksandan kelli konuşanı anlamak kolay değil! ;)  İyi ki elimde yazılı metin var diyorum :).

We were a bit unlucky getting on a small and mostly covered boat 'cause we wanted to sit outside during the trip. Anyways, we both spent time inside and outside and listened to commentary. It was a tough job to understand what he said but thank god I had the printed version of the commentary. :)

Biraz turistlik yapıp, manzaraya karşı İskoç viskisi iyi gider diyoruz :) . Soldaki Talisker daha yoğun ve odunsu tatta, ben ise tercihimi soldaki Macallan'dan yana kullanıyorum  Fiyatlar sudan ucuz. Bu single malt viskilerin duble fiyatı 3 pound ( yaklaşık 9tl ). Bizim ülkede içki fiyatlarınının fahişliğinden, bu fiyatlara şaşırıp kalıyoruz ama bir yandan da  iyi ki viski sevdiğimiz içkiler listesinde üst sıralarda değil diye düşünmeden edemiyoruz :).

We played the tourist card and had single malt Scotch whiskies on the trip. The one at the left hand side is Talisker which is more strong and smokey, the other one is Macallan which was my choice. The prices were unbelievably cheap ( 3 pounds for each) when we consider our country which has the highest tax on alcoholic drinks. However whisky is not one of our favorite drinks :). 

Loch Lomond'un güzelliği tarif edilemez. Çok yeşil, sakin, korunmuş, huzur dolu. Etrafta kuşlar, geyikler görüyoruz, kanguru bile olduğu söyleniyor. Binalar genelde hep eski, bir tek inşaat yok.  Yavaşça ilerleyen tekneden adaları görüyoruz birer birer. 

Loch Lomond's beauty is beyond words.  Green, calm, protected and peaceful. We've seen many birds and deers, also they said there were kangaroos there. Our boat was sailing slowly and seen the islands one by one.

 Turun dönüş noktası Luss, tepelerin önünde konuşlanmış, sevimli mi sevimli bir sahil kasabası. Keşke burada biraz vakt geçirsek diyorum ancak bir sonraki dönüş saat 16:00'da ve geç olduğu için sadece burnumu çekiyorum. 

The turning point was Luss which is a cute town by the lake. I wish we could spend some time there but the returning boat was at 16:00 which was very late. 

 Biraz da kıyafetime bakalım. Fazlasıyla rahat bir kıyafeti bir önceki gün kızlarla aldığımız kısa tişörtle tamamlıyorum.

Let's take a quick look to my lazy outfit. It was so casual and worn the crop tee which we bought on the previous day.

Luss iskelesinde kanı kaynayan gençler ağustosta bile ancak 12 dereceyi bulan göle atlıyorlar :)

On Luss peer the youngsters were diving to the water which only reaches till 12 degrees even in August :) 

Bu güzel yapı 18 yyda yapılmış Cameron House. 98 den beri otel olarak hizmet veren bina Michael Jackson'ı bile ağırlamış. Bu benim için önemli bir bilgi :)

This gorgeous building is Cameron House and serving as hotel starting from 98, even Michael Jackson stayed there. This is a very precious piece of information for me :)

Tur bitince West End'e gidip yemek yeme ve vintage dükkan gezme planları yapıyoruz ancak arabamız sürpriz bir şekilde bozuluyor. Otoyol kenarında servis beklerken, güneş de tam kıvamına geliyor. 

On the way to the West End, our car broke down and we had to wait at the highway for a while. Sun showed its warm face again.

Araba yüzünden kaybettiğimiz zamanda, açlığımız giderek artıyor. Zavallı sevgilim aç bilaç arabayı değiştirmek üzere West End'de bizden ayrılırken, kızlarla  The Bothy'de kendimize ziyafet çekiyoruz.

Unfortunately we lost time with broken car but my bf left us at West End, poor him went to change the car on a hungry stomach. Me and girls sat at The Bothy and stuffed ourselves with good food. 

Vintage dükkanlarının çoğu 17:00 gibi kapandığı için, West End'de istediğimiz gibi bir gün geçiremiyoruz.

The vintage stores closed at 5:00 pm so we couldn't have a day as we planned.

Kahvaltıda Cafe Gandolfi'deyiz. İçerisi farklı tasarımlarda tahta masa ve sandalyeleri barındırıyor, doku hoşumuza gidiyor. Kahvaltıyı sorarsanız, internet de yazıldığı gibi çok matah değil. 

On breakfast we've been to Cafe Gandolfi. We like the decoration with unique tables and chairs however  the breakfast is not that great like it's been said on the net.

Otelden çıkışımızı yapıp, Stirling'deki Wallace anıtına gidiyoruz. Hani şu hepimizin aklına Freedoooomm sözüyle kazınan Oskarlı yapım Cesur Yürek'in kahramanı William Wallace'ın. Biletlerimizi alıp, anıta doğru tırmanışa geçiyoruz.

After checking out, we drove to Stirling where the William Wallace monument is. As most of you remember him as the hero of an Oscar winning movie called Braveheart.  Got the tickets and took the hilly path.

Daha önceki gidişlerimde hava yüzünden ertelediğimiz anıt ziyaretlerimizden sonra, o gün hava yine çok güzel.  İçeri giriyoruz,  tam 246 merdiven var tepeye. Merdivenleri çıkarken 2 özel odaya giriyoruz. Bu odalarda William Wallace'ın önderliğindeki özgürlük savaşının hikayesi, dönemin diğer kahramanları, anıtın yapımı ile ilgili bir sürü bilgiye ulaşıyoruz. Bazı detaylar üzüyor, bazı kötülüklerin dünya yüzyıllar geçse de  kalıcı olduğunu kanıtlıyor. Ben zaten tarih sever biri olarak diliyorum da, dinliyorum. 

We couldn't visit the Monument on my previous trips but this time the weather was great. You have to climb 246 stairs to the top and we've been to the two special rooms where you can hear the story of  Wallace and freedom,  nations heroes and construction information. As an history lover, I enjoyed the stories.

Sergilenenler arasında klanının tartanı üzerinde Wallace'ın kılıcı da var. Hala bu kadar büyük kılıçlarla nasıl savaşıyorlarmış, aklım almıyor.

William Wallace's sword was also on display on his tartan, I still wonder how they fight with those big swords?

 O daracık 246 merdiveni çıkıp  yukarıya eriştiğinizde William Wallace'ın destan yazdığı Stirling Köprüsü savaşının geçtiği yerin yanı sıra, Forth nehri ve Stirling şehrini de görüyorsunuz. Bu manzara için ben yine o 246 merdiveni tırmanırım :)

When you climb up those 246 narrow stairs, you reach the top which offers spectacular views of River Forth, the city of Stirling and of the scene of Wallace's famous victory at The Battle of Stirling Bridge. I would climb those stairs again for seeing this view. :)

After finished the monument our female Wallace's came to life.:)

Fotoğraflarrın hepsine bakınca, hepimiz bu tarz hareketleri seyahat boyunca bol bol yapmışız, diğer fotolar için sizi şimdiden uyarıyorum. :) Wallace'ın  hikayesini de dinledikten sonra içimizdeki Gezi ruhu iyice alevlendi.

I don't know in how many photos we have done this gesture, I'm warning you, will see many of them at upcoming posts. Especially  after hearing Wallace's story, the #occupygezi spirit in all of us got out. 

Anıt sonrası çok hoş bir yer olan Bridge of Allan'a yollandık, geç öğle yemeğimizi güneş altında Jam Jar'da yedik.  Biraz sokakta dolaştık ve bir sürü güzel lezzeti barındıran bir dükkandan pek çok güzel peynir ve başka şeyler aldık. 

We drove to Bridge of Allan , a very pretty town and had our late lunch at Jam Jar under the sun.

Yolda Morrison's da durup, T in the Park Festivali için alışverişlerimizi tamamladık. Ondan sonraki durumumuz:

Kesinlikle tarz sahibi bir yolculuk yaptığımızı söyleyemeyiz. :))

We can't say we travelled in style :)))
