My odds are stacked, I'll go back to black

Neredeyse domes geçen bir hafta sonundan sonra, en az o kadar melankolik bir pazartesiden merhaba. Gittikçe fazlalaşan kıyafet fotoğrafları post edile dusturundan yola çıkarak günün ilk postunu, geçen haftanın güneşli günlerinden bir kıyafete ayırıyorum. Elbise Eylül 08 de envantere girdi, bir kere giyildi ne yazık ki fotoğrafı çekilemedi, o yüzden yeni kategorisinden saymıyorum.

I spent the weekend as domestic as it could be so hi from another melancholic monday. I had may outfits to post so this very first post of the week is about an ensemble of mine from last week's sunny days. The dress was recorded to the inventory on September '08, worn once so it couldn't be counted as new.

To the left, to the right

Neredeyse Pazar günü olacak, ben ancak geçen pazar ki kıyafetimin fotoğraflarını post ediyorum. Pazar günü geniş ve güzel manzaralı terası sebebiyle, Beyoğlu Midpoint'te kahvaltı, küçük bir yürüyüşü takiben evde sonlandı. Oxfordlarımın mevsimini de açtım, özlemişim onları :)

It is almost Sunday but I'm able to post last Sunday's outfit post today. We had breakfast at Midpoint in Beyoğlu which have a big terrace with a great view, then we took  a little walk and returned home early. I officially opened the season for oxfords, I really missed them :) .

Smokey eyes and Elle Magazine photo shoot

Bom dia! Ahaha bu ne be diyorsunuz biliyorum ama bunu son iş gezimde Portekizli birinden öğrenmiştim, Portekizce "günaydın" demek sevgili okuyucular ( Evet, maalesef  ben de ona türkçesini öğretmek zorunda kaldım ) :).  Bugun güzel bir gün, hava serince ama güneş parıldıyor, benim için iyi bir şey. Bugün, fotograflarını sanırım ancak haftaya görebileceğiniz grungy bir şeyler giydim ve dumanlı göz makyajı yaptım, tabi günlük gözükebilecek sınırlar içerisinde ;) .  Durum böyleyken, dumanlı gözlere de bir açlığım varken karşıma muhteşem görünen dumanlı gözleriyle Magdalena Frackowiak ve Hanne Gaby Odiele çıktı, ben gece bile olsa bu kadar fazlasını yapamıyorum ancak bu oldukça güzel göründüğü sonucunu değiştirmiyor.

Bom dia! Probably, most of you will say, what the hell is that but I learnt this on my last business trip from a Portuguese guy meaning "good morning" ( Yes I had to teach him the same in Turkish) :) . Today the sun is shining but there is a chilly weather outside but I'm more than fine with that. In the morning I decided to wear something grungy with a daily dose of smokey eye make-up. When I was in that mood I saw pictures of Magdalena Frackowiah and Hanne Gaby Odiele with their beautifully done heavy smokey eyes. I've ever done this much, even I was going out but this fact doesn't change the reality of they're looking good.

Günün diğer önemli başlığına gelirsek, dün Elle Türkiye dergisi için Ocak sayısında yayınlanmak üzere blog yazarlarını konu alan bir produksiyonda yer aldım. Fotoğraf çekimi benim için biraz zahmetli geçti diyebilirim, bir bölümü yerde yapılan çekimler sonrasında, bugun sol tarafımda hafif bir bel ağrısı ile dolaşıyorum ancak sonuç sanırım iyi oldu :). Muhtemelen sorulacak sorular arasında, yüzünü sonunda görebilecek miyiz olacağından, sizleri bu zahmetten kurtarmak adına diyebilirim ki, dergide burada gördüğünüzden fazlası olmayacak :) . Sevgili mordolap ( Kendisini de bu produksiyonda göreceksiniz ) sd kartını unuttuğu için sahne arkası yazı dizisi yapamayacağım ancak fazla konuşamasakta, diğer bir blog yazarı arkadaşım Nil ile tanışmamızın günün diğer artısı olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Dergi satışa çıktıktan sonra, sizinle diğer  fotoğrafları da paylaşacağım, şimdilik benden bu kadar, güzel bir cuma günü geçirmenizi dilerim.

The other headline of today is, my photo shoot with Elle Turkey which will be on January issue, for a production of blog writers. The photo shoot was a little bit hard for me since I was crawling on the floor, today I'm having a little ache on my left side but I can say the result will be good. I know I will be having some comments including the question " Can we see your face now" but my answer will be no, you will not be seeing more than anything that you've seen on the blog :). I wish we could do the behind the scenes but it's not possible since Mordolap  ( She was one of the writers, too) forgot the memory card for the camera. However, even we couldn't have enough chance to talk, meeting with my other fellow blogger Nil was one of the highlights of last evening. I will be sharing more photos from the shoot after the mag is out, it's all for now from me, I wish you a delightful Friday.

Gray is my favorite colour

Sanıyorum gri benim en sevdiğim renk. Açığı, koyusu , her tonu oldukça hoşuma gidiyor ve kıyafetlerimde yüksek bir yüzde oluşturuyor. Bu elbise de uzun süredir dolaptaydı, hatta cadıpazarında  ( Üstümdeki 38 beden, bol durması için büyük beden almıştım, pazardaki 40 beden, 38-40 beden olanlara tam olacaktır) son bir tane daha var, cumartesi akşamı giydim, oldukça sevdiğimi söyleyebilirim. Çanta yine satmak için aldığım bir parça ancak sizlere kısmet değilmiş :)

I think it is because I had many gray pieces from darker to lighter hues. This dress has been waiting in my closet for so long so I got a chance to wear it last saturday night out.

Leopar desenli çoraplar

Puantiyeli çorap ile ilgili yazıya gelen yorumlarda, leopar desenli çorapların nasıl giyileceği konusunda kafalarda soru işaretleri olması, gelecek  yazılarımdan birisini bu konuya ayırmam gerektiğini gösterdi. Ben yorumlarda, tarzım olmasa da, eğer giyecek olsaydım, siyah, beyaz, lacivert, bej.. tonlarında düz kesimli kısa elbiseler, üstler, etek ve şortlarla tamamlanabileceğini düşünüyorum. Çorabın iddiasını daha da arttırmamak için bacaklarınız uygunsa düz babetler, botlar veya yine bacakları kalın göstermesini engellemek adına daha iddiasız, mary jane tarzı ayakkabılar, oxford botlar.. gibi daha maskülen seçeneklerle tamamlanabilir.  Leopar desenli çorap giydiğinizde kıyafetlerinizin çok dar kesim olmaması, 80'lerden fırlamış gibi durmanızı engelleyecektir. Örnek ararken gördüğüm üzere tarzı daha sade insanlar, daha çok benim önerdiğim gibi kombinlerken, çorabın punk halinden dolayı iyice desenleri karıştırıp, saldım çayıra mevlam kayıra durumu da yok değil, ancak iyi göründüğünü kendi adıma söyleyemeyeceğim.

When I wrote about the polka dotted tights, there were questions about how to wear leopard print tights so I decided to make a post about them. As I stated on my comment, they are not my cup of tea but if I'd wear them, I'd pair them with black, white, beige or navy colour pieces,with simple cuts which could be mini dresses, tops, skirts or shorts. Since the print is so bold, it would be nice to wear flat shoes or boots if your legs are suitable, however if you want to avoid the bigger and shorter legs effect, you can wear mary janes and oxford ankle boots which are less bold and masculin. When I looked throught the net, I saw that the people with a similar style to mine usually wore them as I have written, the others with the help of  punk attitude of the print ,wore them with more prints, which I can't say they look good for my taste.
